DJ Emma AKA The Lil Gay Celebrant (she/her) is a gay marriage celebrant that delivers events for FABulous people.
In 2021, Emma combined her marriage celebrant services with 6 years of South West wedding DJ and MC experience, and prides herself on her ability to provide a seamless day from start to finish; first getting you legally hitched in the afternoon, assisting with the proceedings of the cocktail hour, dinner and then partying into the night.
With a comprehensive background in hospitality, social science, creative writing & performing, Emma’s also produced and hosted radio shows, mentored and been a booking agent for other DJ's, as well as being a full-time parent. As an an event-host and MC - she’s able to converse with couples from any background, age, gender and/or ability and do her best to cater to you as unique individuals - because every love story is special and should be told in an original way.
Her ceremony style has been described as modern, original, relaxed and fun! She brings the same class and expertise to a 20-minute, intimate ceremony on the beach as she does to goth weddings, punk weddings, poly weddings, same sex weddings, queer weddings, elopements and everything in between.
Emma’s diverse and broad experience allows her to consistently deliver an engaging performance; whether it’s a Down South beach wedding, a destination elopement, or any type of wedding in Australia!
With an infectious energy and easygoing performer’s instinct, Emma has developed a reputation for being a crowd-pleaser, and a favourite among the West Australian wedding, entertainment and LGBT+ events scene.
